Abstract

The architectural firm of Howell & Thomas was established by Carl Eugene Howell and James William Thomas, Sr. in Columbus, Ohio in 1908. Opening an additional office in Cleveland, Ohio in 1914, Howell & Thomas designed many significant residences, educational buildings, churches, and commercial buildings in Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. The collection consists of materials related to Howell & Thomas' commissions and includes financial records, subject files and photographs.
